1. Overview

Vaultar is a privacy-first document vault that enables users to scan, import, organize, manage, and protect documents directly on their device.

Unlike many document management services, Vaultar does not require account registration and does not operate a cloud storage platform for user documents.

Our goal is to provide useful document management tools while minimizing data collection and giving users direct control over their information.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

Vaultar stores information locally on your device, including:

• Scanned documents
• Imported PDF files
• Imported images
• Collections and organizational information
• Document metadata
• Application preferences and settings
• Security configuration settings

This information remains on your device unless you explicitly choose to export or share it.

3. Permissions and Device Features

Vaultar uses Android system features and document selection interfaces to allow users to scan, import, export, and manage documents.

Depending on your Android version and device configuration, the operating system may grant temporary access to selected files, images, or camera functionality when explicitly initiated by the user.

Vaultar only accesses content that the user chooses to provide through these system interfaces.

4. Document Storage

Documents managed by Vaultar are stored locally on your device.

Vaultar does not automatically upload documents, images, PDFs, scans, or document contents to servers operated by MJrFusion.

Any transfer of documents occurs only when explicitly initiated by the user through sharing, exporting, or other user-controlled actions.

5. PIN and Biometric Protection

Vaultar offers optional PIN and biometric authentication features to help protect access to your vault.

Authentication credentials are stored securely on the device and are not transmitted to MJrFusion.

Biometric authentication is handled by Android and the hardware security features available on your device.

6. Sharing Documents

Vaultar allows users to share documents using applications and services available on their device.

Once a document is shared, its handling becomes subject to the privacy practices of the destination application or service selected by the user.

7. Image Processing and Compression

Vaultar may process images locally on the device to rotate pages, optimize image quality, compress files, and generate PDF documents.

These operations are performed locally on the device and are not used to collect personal information.

8. Advertising

Vaultar may display advertisements provided through Google AdMob and related Google advertising services.

To support advertising functionality, Google services may access the device Advertising ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID).

Information collected through advertising services is governed by Google's own privacy policies and practices.

Vaultar does not use advertising data to access, analyze, or upload the contents of your documents.

9. Third-Party Services

Vaultar may rely on third-party services required for application distribution, advertising, diagnostics, security, and platform functionality.

• Google Play Services
• Google AdMob
• Android Biometric Authentication Services

These services operate under their own privacy policies.

10. Data Retention

Documents and information stored by Vaultar remain on your device until removed by you.

Uninstalling the application may result in the removal of application data depending on your device and Android version.

11. Children's Privacy

Vaultar is not directed toward children under the minimum age required by applicable laws in their jurisdiction.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Security Measures

Vaultar is designed to minimize privacy risks by keeping document processing on-device whenever possible.

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the application. However, no security mechanism can guarantee absolute protection.

13. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights related to privacy, access, deletion, correction, portability, or restriction of processing.

Because Vaultar primarily stores information locally on your device, users generally maintain direct control over their documents and information.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time.

Updated versions will be published through official Vaultar channels and will indicate the date of the latest revision.
